Sieg X3 Table Stops
« on: November 28, 2009, 07:31:19 AM »
One of the Kit Improvement jobs I'm doing is to fit some table stops on my mill this will prevent me from running to the end of the table and damaging the glass scales of my DRO, as well as being useful for other milling jobs.

Her the stops fitted:-

And these are the movable stops made from 1" square mild steel, M6 clamp screws and M8 stop bolts.

And the fixed stop

To mount the fixed stop I used the M6 hole already in the machine that fixed the zero pointer and by extending the stop so that it came hard up against the had wheel frame fixing it firmly in position this was the only fixing required.

The table lock is still easy to get too and use.

Thats one job ticked off

Still drilling holes... Sometimes, in the right place!

Still modifying bits of metal... Occasionally, making an improvement!
