Monarc 10EE

<< < (2/2)

kvom:
Those tubes are part of the Monarch 10EE drive system that replaced the Ward-Leonard system.  The term they used was WIAD, which stands for "works in a drawer".  As I understand it, the WIAD drive is just an electronic version of the electromechanical WL system.  The WIAD drive was subsequently replaced by a solid state system, and eventually by a VFD drive.

Brass_Machine:
Valves or no... the 10EE is my all time favorite looking lathe.
