Both Mal and myself are astounded at the well wishes you true gentlemen have shown here, and we truly thank you. Last night (Christies never closes, it operates 24/365), we had a phone call for Mal to see the specialist this lunchtime. Unfortunately, it was too late for us to organise someone to take her, so I took her instead. I know for a fact, that it has already taken it's toll on me, and for a couple of days still to come, but it is all worth it. Mal will not now be with us for Christmas, because she is scheduled to have very major surgery on 21st December at The Christie, and she won't be home for at least ten days. This is definitely a very good sign, as only up to a month ago, she had lost so much weight and was so weak, they could not have operated on her no matter what. Their treatment, and all your well wishes, have worked miracles. So in our household, Christmas is now cancelled, and will now take place early in the New Year, when she will be on the road to recovery. So many thanks again Mal & John, and of course Bandit. |
