Twmaster:
Hi all, I've been here a few times to check out threads I've found via Google searches. Thought it was time to join YAFS! (Yet Another Forum Site!) :) I've been whacking on bits of metal for a little more than a year. I bought a little Horrible Fright, er, I mean Harbor Freight 7 x 10 lathe in the summer of 2008. The 7x10 has been retired. I'm in the process of fitting out a very old Rivett #8 benchtop precision lathe. I also have a Taig milling machine as well as the usual suspects like bench grinders, drill press, hydraulic press etc in the shop which lives in a spare bedroom of my home. I also am in the middle of cleaning up and placing a little Craftsman #109 lathe into service. I also have a 1945 Rivett #918 turret lathe awaiting it's turn to be cleaned up and put into service. Also in my pile of things to rebuild are another Rivett #8 (Yes, I have 2) and a 1920-1930 era Rivett #608. Somewhere in the pile of stuffs is also a tiny little Chinese 3-in-1 machine in need of a lot of TLC. I like hacking on small gasoline engines as well as little compressed air and steam engines. I also like making tools and accessories for my machines. I'll post some photos of the workshop over the weekend as I am in the middle of reorganizing and cleanup in the shop. |
