Not wanting to override your smarts on this software Boss. I was just palying with the search engines. It looks like the one in the upper right hand corner is for a local search for the thread your in. The one in the tool bar is a global search that will do the whole forum. I tried just "lathe" in this thread and it came up with one message by tumutbound and it had lathe in it. If you do a global search using the search there you'll come up with every thread in the whole forum with the word lathe in it. Just adding a bit of info on what I found. So it looks like one is a local search engine for the specific section your in and the other is a global for the whole forum. Bernd |
