missing parts
« on: November 13, 2009, 03:18:39 PM »
Boy am I pi$$ed....Cant find a suitable un-smiley...........

Sorry I dont normally swear....but ....I bought a morticing machine from Aldi 3 weeks ago....Got it home and had a kwik peek inside the box...( I couldnt manage to lift everything out because of illness) Looks good I thought...

Come to assemble in the shop tonight only to find all the accessories are missing...Allen keys, grub screws, chuck and arbour for drilling...not there..nothing nada....

I also bought the set of mortice bits too to complement the machine...

Well I'm going to have to take it back and get a refund.....or they can reduce the price and I'll ring the help line for the accessories...

John,

I feel your pain.......

BUT. It`s pleasing to know others also suffer the same problems as we do, so regularly!  ::)

Still drilling holes... Sometimes, in the right place!

Still modifying bits of metal... Occasionally, making an improvement!

One thing about Aldi John, they have a no quibble return service.

Luckily, I have never had to take anything back.

Went back to Aldi this morning and explained about the missing parts...

Initially they offered a refund, I then asked if they could ring other stores in the area to see if they had stock..
The next nearest sold their last one on Thursday...oh bummer!....
The next nearest store had one left...so was duly reserved....but a 10 mile round trip..Ah well..

Got there swapped the goods over, checked the new one and yes there was a bag of parts....Result!!!

Now I'm happy..

At least you have all the parts now. My nearest Aldi is currently a 10 miles journey but they are currently building one less than a mile away in the village centre, I think it opens in a few weeks. I`ve been really pleased with everything I`ve had from Aldi and glad they also seem good in terms of their returns and refunds.

Mines 35 miles away and that's where we go shopping. Not much nearer than that.
