John Rudd:
I decided to have a change of avatar...The original rotating 8 pin chip came about from the days of when I used to modify Playstations.....

The new avatar is a shot of the Harvard that I flew when we were on hols in Fla in 2008. I decided to celebrate my 50th birthday in style with a 30min flight at the controls...All I can say is what an experience....and well worth the $$$$$....

tinkerer:
Way cool John. Was it the AT6 Texan with the Wasp 1340? You had to feel great going waka-waka as you honed in on that Me-109 as your wing man turned him right in your path.

Do ya know I cant remember! Sean the instructor (Sean Sweeney from here..http://www.warbirdadventures.com/about_us ) Told me all about the aircraft during the flight...

In fact we were due to do some aeros, but I wasnt feeling too well (not airsick or anything) so we did some formation flying with one of the T6's they had.....Feeling? Greeeaaaaat!!!! I have it all on dvd and photos too...

tinkerer:
I checked their website and they have the AT-6's, among others. If they ever get a P51 or a Corsair, I will have to sell my house and go to Kissimmee. We used to take the BT-13 to airshows and the T6's would be setting right next to us.

John Rudd:
As it happens, the hangers located adjacent to theirs had a P38 in one...Had we gone the day previous we would have seen it fly....( OMG...I wish...) and in another next door was a P51D....although he was out on the apron...

As we were flying, we heard over the rx , the P51 had taken off...he passed us on the port side like we were stood still!...Wow what a sight that was...He even gave us a wave..  :)
