Jere:
My name is Jere, I've been lurking about this site for some time.
Although it goes without saying, I must say that there are quite a few very talented folks around here, I am always impressed when I stop by.

My primary interest is in watchmaking and horology in general, however, I am easily interested in any machine work.
Since my available hours at the workbench are limited, I usually need to stay focused.

My machine lineup consists of a Cowells 90CW lathe with the horizontal milling attachment for wheel and pinion cutting, and a Cameron 164 micro drill press.
Of course, watchmaking requires a never ending list of hand tools and unique gadgets, that I will not attempt to list here.

I have a website, where I try to keep updated with my various endeavors in the workshop.
www.watchmaking.weebly.com

Below is a photo of the 'machine bench,' where all my chips are made.

Welcome to MadModder Jere. I can see by the photo that your workshop does not take up a lot of space. I had a quick look on your site before posting this and you appear to have a nice setup of tools for what you want to do. It would be nice to follow along with you as you design/build your dream time piece. When I have more time I will be back to look further into the world of watchmaking thru your site.  :) :)

Be careful, most members end up catching  :proj: and the only cure for it seems to be building something.

Cheers

A big welcome Jere,

A few of the group on here are hoping to get into horology, so I am sure anything that you can show will be lapped up.

As you know, we are not a dedicated to one thing group, but one where sometimes help comes from a totally different perspective.

We all have things to share, and I am sure you can show us a lot of things you have under your belt, and we will do likewise.

As they say about problems being shared.

Hi there Jere  welcome to the collective  :borg:

I am interested in horology too, I would love to build a clock at some point in the future ( after I finish off my present project, and the mill mod's and the lathe mods and .... and ...... and .......  :proj: )

So welcome and pull up a chair and join in the fun

Hello again, Jere  Nice to meet up with you elsewhere than on the Cowells 90 group. I've still got that old Perris - your lathe's grandpa.
