Jim

We all have those days once and a while. Now that you have had yours and got it behind you, look forward to the good days that are coming.

Cheers

No day in the shed is wasted!
You've just had a 'non-productive' day.

John Hill:
I have a little bit of unproductive time myself lately!
I started to turn down a bit of 1/2" to fit the 12mm bearings I bought for my toolpost grinder, I want a ridge left at one end so that meant turning down the entire length and getting acquainted with the travelling steady.

All went well really, too well and I took too much off!   :coffee:

Probably, while I am at the shop I should get some 8mm ones too!

Good practice, I am starting on another shaft and I will be more careful this time!  Problem is the difference between too tight and real sloppy seems to be really really, narrow.
