I know it looks a little rough, but it's primary purpose is to work for a living, not look pretty :bugeye:
I'll post some pics of the boiler when I've charged my camera batts.
**edited to help with the pictures :borg:

Nice 1 bramley51, it should have quite a bit of power being twin cyl double acting. I've never made a double acting or double cylinder oscillator yet but can imagine they are pretty smooth.

Nice engine. Has a different kind of a look to it which makes it nice. Be nice to see the whole setup when you get it install and steaming. :ddb: :ddb:
Cheers

Hi Bramley
Nice engine the finish is just fine  I like things that work for a living. I will be building a boiler some time so I would be interested to see your boiler build.
Cheers

Bramley,
Having built a couple of these myself, and I can assure you, your build is just fine.
They are a real nice engine, smooth running, good speed control, and plenty powerful enough for a model up to about 36" to 40" (not with too much displacement though).
I have a V4 version in my shop built by someone else, that I use to show people how NOT to build a steam engine.
Peter Arnot's boilers also work rather well, so don't have any worries on that score.
Very nice build.
