everything going well, easy job, and then

busted me feed gear :(
hit the stop while feeding, the lathe didn't even slow down, all i heard was the motor suddenly go under load

about £10, from TMTT, had a couple of lathes and me mill off him.

i did think i'd broke it properly, the handwheel just locked solid as the busted teeth wedged in the gear

i wasn't laughing at the time :( :(

Jonny:
I have had motors pack up 1/4 in to a job, switches, power feeds, vices, ACME threads strip and you cannot remove the precision job until finished.

jim:
postie brought the new gear this morning :ddb:

excellent example of customer service, broke lathe yesterday and fixed this morning :D

TMTT
