Yup, it arrived a week or two ago, Stew. The idea is to fill the hopper with tubular rivets , give the sorting wheel a spin to fill the feed slot and then jump up and down on the foot pedal to set the rivets. There are more pics of it in my 'welding cast iron' thread in the 'How do I do that' section.

I believe it can be modified to take bifurcated rivets as well as the tubular ones... blowed if I can see how!

I do love the elegance of these old 'clunkers'. The oval base of the riveter is a very elegant thing serving such a practical purpose.
