CrewCab:
Nice one, good idea about a machine lamp too CC |
Spen50:
I like that. A couple would look good as riding lights on a motorcycle  How are you holding the lamp into the holder? |
Bernd:
Nice mod there Shred. Couldn't figure out why you'd hook it to a battery. Then the "light" went on. It's a bicycle, not a motorcycle. Guess I'm not awake yet. Bernd |

I thought about a bulb-closer over the front but decided not to bother this time around. FWIW the MR-16 bulb is reported to be more efficient and can be had in up to 50w sizes-- it's about 2" across vs 1-3/8 (the MR# is the number of eighths of an inch across the bulb is). I may try turning one into a machine light here in a bit. Bernd- yeah, it's for my mountain bike. It's way too hot to ride in the sun these days. |

Now that's just cool! All we need now is a video taken on the bike at night so we can see it's effective light throw and how useful it is when you're hairing down a mountain side :bugeye:  Nice bit of kit :borg: Ralph. |
