Darren:
Which is it? I'm talking machine Arbours/Arbors here....which way is it spelt, dictionary say one way, spell checker says the other, Ebay shows both in the search results no matter which way you spell it....cleaver sods.... |
Andy:
I wondered about that as well. Is 'arbor' the USA spelling I wonder, as in harbor (harbour in UK)? |
John Stevenson:
The correct spelling is "long spindly thing, usually bent in the middle" John S. |
bogstandard:
I was always taught to use arbor, but I don't think it matters that much, as long as we know what you mean. But it can sometimes cause a search engine to be confused, and you don't get as many hits, so it might be better to put both in the box, a belts and braces thing. Bogs |

Have a poke around in this, top RH corner. http://www.askoxford.com/concise_oed/arbour?view=uk Should be arbor .. unless you've got a wooden one :D Dave Edit. ....forgot. Unless it's wet, and there's crabs in it ... in which case .... it's a Narbor |
