Another fascinating thing about the [slug] slime is its a natural anaesthetic. If you lick a slug enough, your tongue will go numb. In fact, some Native Americans used to put slugs in their mouths when they had a toothache and let it crawl around. I don't recommend licking a slug, because I'm sure it's not good for them.

Do you mean black slugs, :scratch: are they a bit like jelly babies (jelly beans) black seams to be the favourite colour, personaly I don't go for the green ones:- jelly babies that is.

In the US they have bannan slugs about the size and colour of a banna they have banna slug festivals
