I tried it this morning, and yes it can be set up turned on and in two minutes is banging away. Measuring with a sound meter I'm getting 115 dB five foot away at 90 degrees to the barrel, but it doesn't come across as anything like that on a video recorded by iPhone  :scratch:.

They say 17,000 pops from a 20 lb propane tank but I'm not counting !
