Pultra P type headstock restoration
« on: December 30, 2024, 09:57:18 AM »
Since I sold my restored Pultra 17/70 to replace it with a Myford because I hadn’t got room for both I found that I needed a smaller lathe for using a graver , so after a rethink and a move round I had enough room for a small lathe but the Pultra 17/50 or 17/70 was just a bit to big so I decided to look out for a P type, eventually found one that although needed restoration was in reasonable condition as a lot have nicks out of the bed after full strip and cleaning removed old paint and repainted in 2K the video is headstock rebuild, started off painting cream the decided to paint it grey.
I was amazed how little runout there is see video here is link to playlist
