Thank you both, makes it worthwhile sharing projects.

I posted it on Facebook and only got 1 critic (to my surprise as most think they are engineers etc) saying my bolts where to close to the edge of the concrete.
Only 2 of the 16mm Dyna bolts are 70mm away from the edge and the post is not relying on the Dyna bolts as it's pulling on the house itself. The main post is mainly just helping take the weight vertical and the thrust/pull of the crane.

Well, glad you brought it here, anyway! Maybe it looked so professional that people thought it was just purchased kit, at first glance. I don't know whether that's testament or a problem!

Thank you.
The factory look is what I intended it to look like, I try to make all my projects look like that.

Not sure if it's a good thing but makes me happy to hear visitors ask where I bought it, or you obviously bought the hoist unit etc.

I didn't want it to look like some slapped together backyard hack job that you can straight away see it's homemade.
I've seen many of them around the internet with my researching, undersized steel, beam to long for the structure/foundation holding it that will no way support what they are asking of it at full load.
I wouldn't stand under some of them, never mind lifting from it.

I'm not sure why I'm not getting notifications on replies, maybe because I'm using Tapatalk.
I'll have to make sure I login from the internet from now on.

Best regards Dave
