Thanks for all the welcome messages, I found this forum whilst researching a problem I am having with my lathe electronics, sadly not my area ,I began my apprenticeship in 1975 , serving my time in the machine tool reconditioning department, at that time mechanical was a seperate discipline, so I can scrape bedways and spindle bearings etc but electronic stuff escapes me . Stayed at the one company Massey Ferguson Coventry till they closed, working in most of the skilled departments ( tool room, cutter grinding, machine tool repair, ) over the years, then worked for myself in the building trade for around 18 years, now retired, bought the machinery to build air rifles and keep my hand in , engineering was and still is my favourite bathing. |
