Usually copper - it's so much nicer to machine.

I know it's an old thread, but I am glad I found it!..loads of great tips here,  I'm about to hopefully revive a hurco H425 that hasn't been switched on for about 17 years !!!. I'm fully expecting it not to work and the bellows to be split.
