Small Draw Plate
« on: August 22, 2019, 06:13:20 PM »
I recently needed some 1/16 D section brass or copper to finish a small loco Cracker T
Most cheap plates simply dont go small enough but came across this idea to make one. The write up is here  http://www.colinbinnie.com/workshop-tips.html

It works well as long as you take it easy and anneal every couple of pulls .I used some stripped 2.5mm Twin and Earth that was lying about
If you get greedy it tends to snap causing an a,se over t,t session hitting the workshop floor and you know how I found that one out
A pic of the simple tool just two bits of key steel and one of the finished job
Maybe of some use oneday
cheers
