Electric racebikes - IOM electric GP - The Green TT

(1/2) > >>

Brass_Machine:
The Isle of Man TT race will feature a green non-IC engine race for the 1st time. I think all of the bikes are going to be electric. The RACE is on the 12th of June. This one is very cool!

Jeeez Eric, I'd missed that completely ................ just had a quick read up on "Green Power" Bikes  ................ just hope they televise the race  :zap:

At the risk of being considered a 'Party Pooper', what is GREEN about that bike ??

Anything with batteries / electronic control systems is crawling with highly toxic materials, which are damn near impossible to reclaim.

If they want a 'GREEN'  TT race I suggest they go back to Rem Fowler's Norton, I reckon I could re-cycle that into uncontaminated ferrous/alloy/cuprous scrap in about an hour or so. Would be lynched by the VMCC though, if I did.

...... And another thing .... I ain't got one, and I'm b*****y jealous.  :(

Totally agree, "green" is a money making bandwaggon.....mostly...

Stilldrillin:
Green......

Zero carbon footprint etc......

What about the power station to charge it`s batteries?

Or, have I missed something, again?  ::)
