How is it that the capacitors in these old PSU's can last 60 years but modern caps die off after a few years especially if they are not used? |

Sadly I sold my HRO complete with all coil packs (including bandspread) when I moved here 12 years ago, and my AR88 and several other receivers and LOADs of test equipment including two Avo CT160 valve testers :bang: |
