Scott,

Sorry to hear of your problems.

What you must not do is give up.

Try to survive as best you can and only think positive. There is a job out there for you, but your future employer hasn't found you yet, but he/she will do eventually.

Get all those Round-Tuit jobs done first, just to keep yourself from becoming a couch potato.

Best of luck on your search for that dream job.

Yep Yep... thats the plan... Round Tuits!

I went and made the rounds yesterday to all the shops I do work with on the "hobby" side of automotive stuff. And let them know. They are looking at options for projects and things that they get. Sometimes people come in and say.. "Hey! Can you put a Honda K20 in my Series 1 Lotus Motorsports Elise?" And that would be me... I CAN do that.. in my sleep. Things like that.. easy peasy. Soooo they are keeping an eye open for project like work that they would usually turn away cause of the time involved for one of the owners to do it. I can go in and knock it out in a week.

Couple other friends who work outside the IT field asking me to go work with them.. but Im not sure at what pay level it is. Like Minimum wage, or if its decent.

Getting all my stuff sorted.. trying to get my personal things returned to me from work, paperwork filled out, unemployment stuff.

Project wise I did go get a throwout fork and dust boot ordered for the major silly ass Mazda project in the garage.. so that will be in Thursday. SO I can finish transmission assembly, and mate it to the engine. Then I will fab up the fuel rails, and make some dist blocks. Then I think I can put the engine back in the car!

Resume re-work, and versions are also in the sweltering hours to get done, when its simply insanely too hot to be in the garage. (Its been mid-high 90s ouside with silly humidity)

Did I start something here.

Scott, sorry to hear you got laid off. Never happened to me, came close a couple of times. Thing was I was still single at the time and didn't care. Hope you find some steady income down the road. Your lucky to have another talent to fall back on for now. Good luck.

And about those insanley hot days. Up here at the North Pole it's been in the 50's and 60's. Of course I kind of like the cooler weather. Easier to work out side. Got much accomplished here the last few cool days.
