I completed the compound slide rebuild last night, the project I started when I was at the class. Many thanks to Andrew for the steel to make the gib from, that was completed last night. Now to finish the cross-slide scraping and re-assemble the lathe. it feels completely transformed by the scraping and the new gib, hopefully the machine will cut better now. |
