Hello Everyone ! Reasons I joined this forum: - I have something to share with You - It is a well moderated forum Things I could help You on: - Old electronics with vacuum tubes and such - Newer electronics with discrete semiconductors and simple IC's - Modern electronics with microcontrollers surface mounted components and such - Programming with ASM, C, C++, ... - Circuit design and fabrication (DIY high density circuit density boards) Things I might need Your help on: - Machining - Ideas I was diagnosed asperger some 50 years ago. Back then they did not call it asperger but rather autism. It is a very mild variant of that but it makes me sometimes to throw a frog on the table. For me that has been more like an asset than a disability. I am very pedant and tolerate repetitivie tasks endlessely like most people like me do. Typing mistakes ... much of those. Started my electronic hobby before I started to talk to people. About the age of 7. Have done quite a lot of that ... both talking and electronics. In my hamschack I have a decent equipment: - Audio generator - RF generator - Audio frequency counter (0.001 Hz accuracy) - RF counter (0.1 Hz accuaracy) - four channel 100 MHz Tektronix oscilloscope - vacuum tube multimeter - at least 4 ordinary DVM's - Low voltage power supply. Adjustable 0 - 30V, 0-5A. - High voltage power supply 0-4kV, 0-40mA - Variable AC supply 0-330V AC 50Hz, fullyt isolated - Surface mount rework station - decent Metcal soldering "iron" - pin through rework station ... goes on for several pages. The component stock is another BIG story My metal working tools are much less: - chinese lathe - cheap drill press - mini milling machine (actually micro) used for drilling holes on printed circuit boards - bench grinder. This has a white stone of 30 centimeters in diameter and has a frequency converte on it. - lot of hand tools Last a picture of my lathe.
