Hello from Kent!

Not really Joe, I'm retired and yes I own a small farm, but not really farmers in the true sense. Run a few sheep and pigs and geese and chicken (as you do!)

Bought the farm as I wanted the barn as the shell of my workshop

farmerjoe:
The Harrison's flight into the workshop for those that wanted to see it.
Not the best, but the only picture I have.

farmerjoe:
As you can see it's Quite tight. Had just over an inch clearance each side.

Despite having a few big barns I decided to use the smallest possible space available to me to squeeze the workshop into! Mainly because it's 3 foot from the back door!

Pete,
Any pointers as to capacitor size? Microfarad etc? Does matter? Does it need to be start and run, just start or just run? Does it matter what voltage the capacitor is?

Thanks,
Joe

Look at about 60uF per hp. Wire it in delta and get a 250v cap. Last one I did I robbed a cap out of an old strip light © John Stevenson...

Pete.:
OK I just grabbed a 10uF capacitor and wired it up to a small (0.07hp) 3 phase suds pump. Works perfectly.
