Quite agree. I only wish I was half as good as those chaps, or even a quarter would do...

I think I may have watched the whole series through twice. Not only are they skilled metalworkers they are masters of understated British humour!

As you say a good time waster.  Impressed with his fabrication skills.  Have done a lot in past on cars (autocross minis etc) with CAD (cardboard aided design) but he has taken it to a whole new skill level.  The amount of new panels he replaced and then cut almost as much metal out of as the rust mice had done with the originals.    I would love to be as good as he is with the welder.  I've got 180 amp Butters Mig set, which have had for many years, cannot justify Tig.  Trouble is with eyesight, long and short sight, does help focussing on location being welded
