So at least its made on CNC.. I modeled this up in Fusion 360 using Excel and some quite annoying math. And today i put to use making a section of 250mm, and a small 40mm 8 pin wheel .. Better way for this would be to make the pins pressed in. But at least it works and have what i can feel no looseness or play in it. The benefits of this type of rack is that there is always 2 points of opposite contact. The bad thing is that you can't move very fast with them without putting each pin in the wheel on a needle bearing first. |
