I haven't disappeared completely, but taking a rest from the shop as it is a little unsafe for me at the moment. Plus I only really answer things if I am feeling lucid enough.

Just to give you a little update. I had my final medication upgrade yesterday morning. When I awoke in the early hours of this morning, I was relatively pain free, and able to walk upright for the first time since last year, and that is taking me a bit of getting used to. The only side effects I am suffering is that I only have a few seconds notice of falling asleep, so it is a little unsafe for me in the machine shop at the moment. I am hoping that the sleep side effect will wear off as my body gets used to it, and hope to be doing a litle machining in a couple of more weeks. I still have scans and blood tests to go thru, and I hope that what is wrong with me is purely mechanical, and can be fixed with a bit of machining off and screwing together to make me a bit more rigid and stable.

Bandit175 is my Skype name. Just like the name you use on the site, you can use a name on Skype as well. So to contact me, all you have to do is open Skype and search for my name. That will then allow us to talk, and view if you have a webcam, free of charge.
Very few things are free any more Fred, Skype is one of the better ones. A mic headset costing a few bucks will get you online (mine was about 5 bucks), for a few more bucks you can use video in the call as well (about 8 bucks for the camera).

The world then opens itself up in front of you.

I thought I would just add a little bit here.

My problems are a long term thing and now they have got my meds under control, I can live with it.

Unfortunately my wife is not too well at the moment, so all that was said above still holds, if I disappear suddenly for any length of time, it is personal issues, not board related ones.

In fact you might find I will be posting a lot more, I will be using my shop and this forum as a release valve.
