Thanks all for the kind replies and humour.
Love the Klingon bit.
My wife thinks I am learning Klingon from the internet (I would love to go to a Trekky convention - and just watch the people).

Has anyone done an engineering/modelling translator using Klingon terms? Could be fun.
eg:- "Gaaaa Bollockiae" - a term used when falling over with a pocket sized scriber (un protected point) in your pants' pocket.

So what's wrong with Curry? If it aint got chili in, it aint tasty enough.
I should add that my other great helper and Giver of Wisdom, has been Old Biker Guy (Mark) who has an extraordinary workshop full of beautiful hand made bench tools, and some very interesting rolling iron (two wheeled) on the other side of the Blackdown Hills, near Taunton. He has always helped me following a telephone call for help.

To avoid going off-topic, I've pm'd you Eric.

Stew - My lathe has a bolt-on type chuck mount, but would love to make a backplate with a myford screw so as to add to versatility.

Berndt, Dave, CC, thanks one and all.

Best wishes

Peter
