Anyone using a hand held steam cleaner ?

(1/2) > >>

Joules:
I was just chatting with a mate over parts cleaning, and steam cleaning came up in conversation.  Would a hand held steam cleaner be good for small parts and machine cleaning/de greasing ?

Anyone have experience to share.

Ironhorse57:
I have one - it only seems to be of any use for defrosting the freezer.  Cheap from LIDL some years ago, looks more capable than it actually is!

Likewise.....
I have the Aldi hh steamer.....As Mrs. Brown would say ' feckin' useless'.....

But I would endorse the degreaser from Screwfix....Absolutely marvellous for cleaning small and large parts in the shop....

I have the yellow Lidl one. Use it clean sink, toilet bowl, mirror, bathroom dirty spots, kill some weeds next to wall....clean car parts. It does not work on big things, but some oily/grime/sandy/salty suspension parts...first detergent, then steam, then oil, then steam, then impact wrench....that sort of stuff.

Also works fine, when a little part is soaked days in vinegar and then steamed...clean and when hot dries fast. Needs welding fast or slight spray of oil.

Is that the 5ltr stuff John ?
