Doesn't the load exceed the rating for that jib position by a very significant amount? When I lifted a lathe that was a little over the rated load for that jib position on a two tonne hoist it didn't look happy at all and it kept trying to tip forwards. I am impressed if you managed that with just one helper. |

--- Quote ---Doesn't the load exceed the rating for that jib position by a very significant amount? --- End quote --- It does by a couple of hundred Kg's , but it lifted it with ease . --- Quote ---When I lifted a lathe that was a little over the rated load for that jib position on a two tonne hoist it didn't look happy at all and it kept trying to tip forwards. --- End quote --- If it was trying to tip forward then the load was incorrectly slung , load centre was past pivot point (front wheel axles ) . --- Quote ---I am impressed if you managed that with just one helper. --- End quote --- It just took one person to remove the mill from the van and shift it round to the rear of my house , ME :coffee: |
