DavidA:
A few days back I came across a possibly interesting site whilst browsing around.
So I clicked on it's URL.
And the home page appeared. But so did a notice saying that they could not deliver to Keighley (my home town).

The intriguing thing is I hadn't entered any details at all.

So the companies system must have checked my ISP as soon as the contact was made.

It's getting easier to become paranoid these days.

Dave.

We are being tracked and recorded in every interaction on the web  :bugeye:

Google knows all your searches - if you go trawling around it's amazing how many 'targeted adverts get shown to you. We have some holiday cottages on the farm, and I'm a fairly frequent visitor to the booking agents site (Cottages.com). I find it amusing to have my own cottages pushed under my nose when on other sites - no I'm not going to book them !!!

If you have a Android smartphone have a look at the updated Google Maps if your time line is turned on it will track every place you have visited by date and time.
Now that is big brother  :wack:

Funny that I AM in Gravesend but Google thinks I'm in Grays or Tilbury. It's not magic they take your location from the hostname your provider generates.
