I have been searching for one of these , as I have recently purchased a Kearns HBM with the facing Chuck , but no tooling as the seller was still using the other one he had. I have a reasonable collection of Cat30 and NMTB30 tooling which I wan be able to use on the borer as well as my milling machine. As I have not been able to find any ready made adaptors , I am nearly finished making one . I just need to make the drive dogs and a couple of drawbars . The internal taper wasnt too difficult just slow and careful checking as it went. Has anyone made a similar item and if so has it been a success? Michael |

knocked up a 5C to int30 a year or two ago so i could turn int 30 tooling for the mill in my lathe. I've used it twice :-) |

I've made 4 1/2 to 4 and 4 1/2 to 3 morse tapers for my colchester lathe spindle with great success. Regards, Matthew. |
