| Any recommendations for shaper way grinding suppliers? |

Lads, As per the topic title, I have a hand powered shaper that isn't giving me the results I want partly because the ram ways are worn asymmetrically. It's impossible to set the gibs and ensure the ram doesn't move from side to side and worse, up and down. I think the tool is worth a regrind and I see a few names advertising, but I have no idea who's trustworthy and who isn't. Obviously Mid Wales is a bit of an engineering desert, but Chester / Liverpool is within striking distance, and I'm in Brum quite often, so say a 50-60 mile radius from there is fine. Anyone you know who could take a novice by the hand? Eug |
