Now as Bob KRV3000 wasn't actually locked in a cupboard in the workshop I had to 'have at it' myself, and try and bend it back to a semblance of straightness  :lol:

So, remove the bezel (retained by spring clips), gently bend the needle with very fine pointed tweezers, and put it back together. I was scared that I was going to break the needle if I fiddled too much, so got it 'reasonably straight' but not perfect

So now back to the drill sharpener  :ddb:

Needed an offset bracket to fix on the original 'stop collar' to act as a target for the dial gauge to press against. So a bit of layout blue, drilling, bending and tapping and here she is

It actually works rather well, and gives much more confidence that both flanks are being ground to the same position.
