Adev thought this was interesting so I posted some pictures of this 10 inch chuck a Chas Taylor of Birmingham original design was from about 1890's but do not what year this was made |

I have heard that these are the Rolls Royce of three jaw chucks and I can see that the clamping force is likely to be more even along the length of the jaw, but are there more jaws for gripping tube from the inside? Russell |

No because they were very expensive you bought the other jaws as a extra they also came with two year warranty these are only jaws for this chuck. info supplied by UK lathes |
