Hi all, thanks for letting me join. I found the site in a link from the Model Engine Maker site.
I'm 68 years old, a retired mechanic and miner. I have a fairly complete machine shop, but  I'm starting to work more on small, inside the house projects. I'm currently working on making a pen lathe out of Unimat 1 parts as well as upgrading and improving my Unimat DB200 lathe and DB200 mill. I am NOT a machinist, but I do like to dabble with metal in the machines. I like to carve wood and have done some engraving... I like to mess about with lots of things like model trains too.
This site is fascinating, I hope to be able to contribute along with learning a lot of things from the membership.
