the 'Harte' style actually appears a little less bright, i think the colour temp is a little lower. the light is more diffuse, as it is a row of about 5 leds not a single. i found it illuminated my lathe quite well. the stand/arm is solid, with a small flexible section only at the top. quite useful considering its price. (also, it is a USB device, so maybe useful to build into something that already has USB ports - relatively high powered though. -russell |
