That is one fabulous piece of work.

Direct drive, no clutch or gearbox - one can see why it might not be practical in traffic.

It is nearly as weird by today's standards as a motorcycle that was made in small numbers, that also didn't have a clutch or gearbox - because it had a five cylinder radial engine built into the front wheel (the name will come back to me right after I hit the "post" button).
