This was my first time with 3 phase motors very pleased that it worked . |
Arbalist:
I ran a three phase milling machine on single phase for several years without any problems, just swapped a few wires and added a capacitor. Cost me £12.00 though! :D |

Been looking at one in the used tool store here they want $180.00 bucks for it I've been humming and hawing whether or not to buy. But I do have a 3phase motor fitted to a worm drive I'd like to use for a muller. I haven't played with converters yet and don't know a star from a delta, how do you figure out what capacitor to use? |

Hi Tom I used Electric motors Worshop Practice book , and had a look on utube loads of info out there just takes time , how old your motor is the newer the easer , mine was over 40 years old with only 3 terminals newer ones have 6 and links . |
