  Steamer , good idea to have a finger attachment on the end for inside a bore....thats the beauty of forums half an idea starts off and its a proper job by the time a few others add to it, I don't have a decent finger dial but once I get one I will be adding that too cheers  :thumbup:

   Hi Mick, neat little Job.  I have all the necessary construction parts, in my come in handy box. Should make a nice casual weekend in the workshop for a change, may even only take a relaxing Sunday morning.

I made some holders and a smaller one for the dial guage , slacked the screw and it flips 90 degrees .
