I like the extendable arm Rob. Looks good. That forge is going to turn into a heirloom piece.
Thanks Eric ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,is yourlass still enjoying forging ?
That she is. She just finished up another class. Got her registered for 2 more, including a workshop on building a gas forge and intermediate joinery. Trying to get her into a Damascus knife making class. Waiting for them to offer another...
I wish there were classes like that near me Eric ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Damascus /pattern welded steel is something I would also like to try my hand at

, what classes are you enrolled in ?
needle point and baking

I hope you're not going to actually use that work of art Rob or even put dirty coke or fire in that

Pete
Its already a bit black and crispy Pete ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, had some coke going a few weeks ago

Rob, looks good. Is the double joint in the arm to allow it to fully fold up or was it just a more convenient way of making the joint?
Looking forward to the next installment!
Hi Andrew , you got it the double joint makes it fold flat and gives a lot more range over its 30" reach . Here is a better shot of it folded out of the way .

Decided to clean the shop up a bit today and make a lever for the butterfly valve .
