Just seen the reference to David Vizard, that's a name from the past. I think his how to modify your Mini book is still the most thumbed and dilapidated book I have on the shelf.
I've had a couple of Thiels and a polish copy that was nice - all sold on. The two mills I have now and have done for a few years are an Ajax and a Shizuoka CNC. I got tired of having to buy two lots of tooling for both mills, so when the nearly new and well tooled Ajax came about, I decided to take the plunge.

Aye Vizard's book is a must for A series engine tuning :dremel:

A wee bit more progress this morning , thought I would post now as I need to stop for a curry . :)
Made up a couple of shouldered washers , cant be doing with way ward springs LOL.
The slot required a tad of hand fitting at the bench . :dremel:
And it all goes together like so .
Thats the valve just about done , I have left the other end long and un machined as I am still undecided how I will be controlling the valve.
Next ,welded on the dump flange .
And this is it so far .
Cheers Rob
