Transformer orientation? |
(1/1) |
geoff_p:
I really want/need/absolutely-must tidy-up my CNC power cables etc. At present it looks very much like the original definition of PC = 'Proliferation-of-Cables' I've got a case from an ancient PSU into which my transformer will fit, along with Rectifiers and Capacitors. The three Axiis-drivers will mount externally, on top, and ... There's space for the Arduino inside the case. Will the field from the transformer have any adverse effect on the Arduino? Should I try to mitigate it by rotating it as per either/or of the attached sketches? |

If the transformer is correctly designed and used the external field should be very low. If however it is 'on the edge' the iron core with leak magnetic field. |

That's about what I reckoned but I thought it better to 'play safe' and ask - for once. Geoff. |
