Which fuse for my lathe - Clarke cl300m - 5A or 2A ??

Hi Chris
          the fuse rating confusion will be because the manual will have be adapted from a machine intended for the US market

 US lathes with a 300w 110v motors are protected by a 5a fuse (motor takes 2.7A )
CL300M lathes have a 300w 230v motor , the motor current will be  1.3 A   

while  a 1.6 A is available , using a fuse of 140% of maximum motor current is less likely to suffer from nuisance fusing
