Bartons old fashioned peppermint bark ???
<< < (2/3) > >>

Its not a cake its a bar of chocolate but its vanilla rather than white chocolate, with a smaller strip of dark chocolate and just a small amount of the crushed candy canes so as not to over power the vanilla with the peppermint,,,I think the genius in it is getting the proportions just right so you can taste every flavour equally ..as i was trying to find it i came across reviews of other types which were too strong on this or that flavour,,but saying that,, one guy was moaning that there was'nt enough mint candy in the Barnton's one so you can't please everyone...I think its very much a seasonal thing in the states,,otherwise it would be easier to get, i'd have thought,,

here's the wee beastie here,,

mmmmmm,yum yum,

Here ya go,  DIY:

(sounds like she's from Chicago, except for the "aboot" -- which is Tidewater Virginia accent.... :))

Nice one VT,  I'll have a go at that recipe,,seems easy enough, just have to find a decent quality white chocolate,, n some candy canes...it should be a doddle ,

Mike the only thing I wonder about is they say "vanilla" on your wrapper -- I wonder if Bartons adds vanilla to the white chocolate, or is that just advertising copy? You could tell if they list vanilla in an ingredient list....

Now I gotta figure out what a Kendal Mint Cake is.....
