A couple of bits I have made out of wood.

As my main hobby is woodwork, I thought I could post a few pictures of stuff I have made.
First a couple of a turned goblet with a celtic knot pattern, then the cabinet I made for my mini lathe.

Would they be mostly made of ash?

Beautiful work with the tree wood. I bet there is more work in those goblets than would first appear.

The goblet is ash with walnut.
The drawer fronts are ash but the sides and back are poplar. The frame is a softwood.
I tend to often use ash as it is not too badly priced and nice to work with.

The goblet uses a fairly simple technique that I think looks good.
Rather than me trying to describe it and making it sound too complicated, do a search on 'celtic knot turning'.
