With gasoline (petrol) approaching $2.75 per gallon you can expect more of these muscle cars to come out of hibernation. Does them good to exercise occasionally.

Joe,
..With gasoline (petrol) approaching $2.75 per gallon...
That would be $8.36 at the current Pound Dollar exchange rate.
3.785 Litre at £1.24 per Litre and $1.57 to the £
Now you know why we have to drive Diesels.

So I decided that most of my drivability issues are because the carbs are mounted side ways. I think fuel slosh in the the bowls is the culprit. From the factory they had Carters mounted forwards and no issues. Holleys are not designed to be ran side ways. I machined these plates to turn them 90 degrees and drilled some new mounting holes in the intake manifold, the installation is all most done I'll let you know how it goes .

That's some nice work!

It has to be said, the mid 1960s really were a high point in US muscle car designs (and, indeed, many of your large sedans as well)... I am still hankering after a nice convertible '65 Lincoln Continental, but they're all so good looking... (well, IMHO anyway).
Mind you, I'd take a "Christine" (1958 Plymouth Fury) as well... especially with that push-button transmission, or a 1977 "batmobile" Trans Am....
Mind you, I just blew all my cash on some British "muscle":
370bhp supercharged V8 :D Just need to take the back silencer boxes off to make it sound a bit more throaty...
